Update 2020 :: The first scholarship has been awarded!
Mission accomplished :: I’m thrilled to announce that The BTD ENDOWED DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP has its first recipient awarded!
Six years ago, at the finalé viewing party for the reality tv series I competed on, “Motor City Masters”, I committed to creating a design scholarship to support LGBTQ talent in automotive design. It’s taken these years of hard work, raising funds from generous donors, and an incredible relationship with my alma mater school, College for Creative Studies, but today I’m happy to say that Alejandro Zeballos, a sophomore at CCS, was awarded the first ever LGBTQ car design scholarship. Congratulations Mr. Zeballos, and here’s to more awards coming!
I am so grateful to everyone who made this possible and in particular to Bunim-Murray Productions and Lisa Eisenpresser for giving me this platform to work from.

I'm proud to announce The Bryan Thompson Design Scholarship. Created to reward exceptional talent in Automotive Design, it was made possible by my experience competing on the television show "Motor City Masters." This fund will reward talented LGBT design students by helping pay for education at College for Creative Studies or Art Center College of Design. Donations are eligible for 503c tax deductions, and can be made via either school and by clicking below. Choose the Transportation Scholarship and enter "Bryan Thompson Design Scholarship" in the description. For more information, or how to apply, please email hellobryanthompson@gmail.com Liz Klos at eklos@collegeforcreativestudies.edu or amy.swain@artcenter.edu
