For projects like these, I am commissioned to spend time in the field, living with and observing consumers to better understand how they use products, and to propose design innovations and solutions for future designs. For the Volvo / Mack Truck programs, I lived with Long Haul Truck Drivers, on the road, in the cabins with them and learned a great deal about how the cabins are used, and could be better.
